What is the ChatGPT millionaire meme?

It is a 13-second joke with four beats. A young man stands outside and holds his phone to his mouth like a walkie-talkie. He asks the AI, full of confidence, how he can become a millionaire in 30 days. A flat voice from the phone answers: "Get a job." He lowers the phone, leans back, turns to the camera and asks, "Bro, what are they talking about?" Then he lifts the phone again for a second try.

The joke works because everyone has asked a chatbot for a shortcut. The ChatGPT millionaire meme turns that hope into three cold words, and the offended look does the rest. On TikTok it runs under #chatgptmillionairetrend, and people search for it as the ChatGPT millionaire trend, "chatgpt how do i become a millionaire" and "how do i become a millionaire meme".

Who made the original ChatGPT millionaire meme

The original is a skit by Instagram creator @glowboynoah, posted on September 18, 2026. The meme is its first 13 seconds; the full skit goes on with more questions. By October 21 the reel had about 665,000 likes. The character is the friend who asks ChatGPT about everything, which is why so many reposts are captioned "that one dude who asks ChatGPT everything".

When the clip blew up on TikTok, many viewers asked in the comments where the original was and who started it. Several reposts and AI versions got more views than the source, and some sites even credit the wrong account. The skit came first; the AI remakes came almost a month later. A link to the original reel is at the bottom of every page on this site.

ChatGPT millionaire meme timeline

Dates and numbers below are as reported on TikTok, Instagram and X at the time. They move fast, so treat them as snapshots.

  • September 18, 2026: @glowboynoah posts the skit on Instagram.
  • October 12: a large TikTok account reposts it ("How the youth look for wealth nowadays") and it passes 3 million views.
  • October 13 to 15: the first posts on X, a green screen version for editors, and the creator reposting the clip on TikTok himself.
  • October 16: the AI remakes take off. A dog version passes 8 million views and 1 million likes, and CapCut templates appear the same day.
  • October 17 to 20: posts about it on X peak, while new TikTok remakes keep arriving at about 30 a day under #chatgptmillionairetrend.
  • October 21: US Google searches for "how i become a millionaire" hit a new high, and a French tutorial version appears. Spanish versions have been around since October 16.

ChatGBT, chat jibiti and other ways to say it

In the skit he says "Chat, ChatGBT", with a B. That mispronunciation became part of the meme. The top comment on the dog version, with over 40,000 likes, is simply "chat jibiti". Others write chat jipity, chat gibity, Chatgibity (the creator’s own spelling on TikTok) and, for the dog, chat giwoofity.

The line itself also comes in two versions. The skit says "how I become a millionaire in 30 days?", without "do". Most people type "how do I become a millionaire in 30 days". Both are the same joke; the full script is on the how I become a millionaire in 30 days page.

Not the same as "ChatGPT, make me a millionaire"

Search results mix this meme up with an older one from April 2026, where someone shouts "ChatGPT, make me a millionaire!" That one is about the request; the ChatGPT millionaire meme from September is about the answer, "Get a job.", and the offended look that follows. If a clip has no "Get a job." in it, it is probably the older meme.

It is also not about the book "The ChatGPT Millionaire", which has been on sale since 2023 and is about making money with AI prompts. And despite the name, it has nothing to do with any crypto coin called ChatGBT. This site has no connection to the book or to any coin.

How the AI remakes took over the ChatGPT millionaire trend

Most ChatGPT millionaire meme videos you see now are not filmed. People take one photo, of a friend, a coworker who said yes or the family dog, and use AI to put it into the same scene: same phone, same question, same "Get a job." The dog version became the biggest clip of the trend, and pet owners have been copying it since. There is a page just for that: the ChatGPT millionaire dog.

Three things make a remake work. The voice has to fit the face, the offended turn to the camera has to land, and the clip has to stay short. Remakes that keep the original audio on a completely different face are the ones commenters roast.

Tips for a ChatGPT millionaire meme people share

  • Cast the right person

The best versions star someone who would actually ask a chatbot for a shortcut. Ask them first.

  • Match the voice to the face

Commenters roast remakes where the voice sounds nothing like the person. Pick the male or female voice that fits.

  • Post while it is rising

Memes like this peak in weeks. A simple version today beats a perfect one next month.

  • Label it as AI

Viewers already ask "is this real or AI?". Use the AI label and never present the clip as a real ChatGPT answer.
